A four-week public consultation begins this week into the proposed new £100m Merseyrail station in the Baltic Triangle.
And Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram has released a new video offering views of all areas of the station, including the outside plaza, ticket office, escalators and platforms.
It is taken from the virtual reality walkthrough which will go on display at two drop-in events later this month.
Liverpool Baltic will serve one of the city region’s fastest growing areas and is one of four new stations planned by Mr Rotheram. He has committed to completing the project by the end of 2027 – a year ahead of its previous schedule.
Mayor Rotheram has also pledged to build three new stations at Daresbury in Halton, Woodchurch on the Wirral and Carr Mill in St Helens, with work to develop all three underway by the end of the decade.
It will mean that every borough of the city region will have had a brand-new station since Mayor Rotheram took office in 2017.
He said: “The Liverpool Baltic station scheme is another fantastic example of the investment we are putting into the city region to deliver our ambition of a reliable, accessible, affordable and integrated public transport network.

“As one of the fastest growing areas of our city region, it is vital that we look to improve transport links and encourage more people to leave behind the car and travel by rail or bus where possible.
“The feedback we have received to the CGIs so far has been fantastic and I’m sure everyone will be impressed with the flythrough video too.
“We would encourage anyone interested to take part in our online survey or attend one of the drop-in events to find out more about the scheme and give their views.”
The drop-in events are part of a public consultation on the station scheme, which is now open and running until Sunday, August 4.

Details of the two drop-in events, where members of the project team will be on hand to answer questions and there will be an opportunity to use the virtual reality headsets, can be found below:
Baltic Creative CIC, 49 Jamaica St – Tuesday, July 16, 11am to 8pm
FireFit Youth and Community Hub, 115 Upper Warwick St, Toxteth – Tuesday, July 23, 11am to 8pm
Information gathered from the public consultation will be used to finalise the designs ahead of the planning application. Subject to approval, it is expected work will begin on site in 2025, with the station planned for opening by the end of 2027.
