Liverpool SEO agencyย Quirky Digital to offer internships to students to enhance their employment prospects after delivering a project for the University of Liverpool. Tony McDonough reports

ย
Liverpool SEO agencyย Quirky Digital is to offer internships to students following the success of a partnership with the University of Liverpool.
In the past few months Quirky founder and managing director, Liamย Quirk, and his senior management team, have been delivering SEO workshops and training. These have given students an insight into digital marketing in the real world.
In March Liam set the students a challenge to audit one of Quirkyโs internal ecommerce websites. He said the winning team would win a three-month internship at the agency and its 18-strong team which is based in the Baltic district.
The winners were also able to work on an internal project, giving the students insight into a case study that theyโd be able to use on their CV. Pragya Kapoor and Aashi Goyal created an audit and strategy thatย Liamย said would โrival what some agencies are deliveringโ.
As a result of this project, Quirky will now open up internship opportunities at the agency on an annual basis.
Liam said: โSince the end of 2024, Iโve been really proud to work with University of Liverpool on delivering SEO workshops to students, providing knowledge, advice and support on the digital marketing and AI sectors.
โWorking with the next generation of SEO experts is incredibly rewarding and itโs been fantastic to make a difference in the studentsโ journeys.

โFor the second quarter of the year I wanted to take our involvement up a notch and come up with an internship programme at Quirky where students could gain first-hand, industry experience.
โThis would sit prominently on their CV and also make an impact on their career, broaden their knowledge and offer a chance to work on genuine projects within the agency rather than tasks that are often fictitious for students.
โPragya and Aashi made such an impact with their audit and strategy that weโre so honoured to have them part of the Quirky Digital team for an initial three month internship. Weโll then be rolling this out, working with the Universities to offer more opportunities.โ
