Liverpool property firm Nicholson Group has announced an expansion drive with plans to recruit more staff as it targets heritage building conversions across the North West.
Founded by chief executive Paul Nicholson, the firm manages a portfolio of more than 250 rental units and 300 customers which is valued in excess of ยฃ40m. Its investment portfolio also stands at ยฃ40m with a target of expanding this to ยฃ60m.
Over the past year or so Nicholson Group has tripled its headcount for 24 with another recruitment drive now in the pipeline. It is targeting projects across the North West, particularly those involving heritage conversions.
In early 2024 it completed its transformation of the former Merseyside Beechams HQ into a ยฃ4m residential and commercial development. Built in the 1880s, the Grade II-listed Beechamโs Building is a well known landmark in St Helens.
Now Paul says he is in talks with local authorities across the region about potential regeneration projects. He added: โWeโve been on a growth journey for the last three years during which weโve experienced high growth in turnover.
โWeโve been growing quietly but the past two years especially, have seen us grow more rapidly led by a stronger team with a proven track record. Weโve strengthened our culture and as a result have bolstered the quality of our team through attracting better quality candidates.ย
โThis has been a real key to accelerating our growth, investing in our people and creating a happy workforce. This is something we hadnโt really focused on previously but now we have, it has been instrumental in our growth across the group.โ
