Placefirst is acquiring 76 homes in Miller Homes’ Lunts Heath Rise development in Widnes

Placefirst has agreed a deal with Miller Homes to acquire 76 homes on a Widnes development that is due for completion in 2026.

When delivered in spring next year, the 76 properties at the Lunts Heath Rise development will comprise two, three, and four-bedroom homes. They are part of a wider 328-home scheme that also includes five-bedroom homes.

Based in Salford, Placefirst describes itself as a rental developer-operator. It is also involved in the multi-million pound regeneration of the Welsh Streets district in south Liverpool.

This latest deal, a forward-funding agreement, the value of which is not disclosed, will see Placefirst letting, operating and maintaining the houses which are located close to Widnes town centre.

David Mawson, chief executive of Placefirst, said: “Our presence in the North West is well established, however, to fulfil our ambition to increase the number of options for high-quality rental homes, we can’t rest on our existing successes.

“With the demand for housing continuing to grow, expanding supply is crucial in order to support the region’s communities.

Through close collaboration with partners, such as Miller Homes, we will continue to address the UK’s lack of quality housing, delivering professionally maintained homes in the right locations to offer residents the security they need.”

Danny O’Connor, divisional managing director at Miller Homes, added: “We look forward to providing high quality and sustainable homes at our Lunts Heath Rise development, and investing in the neighbourhood.”
