Liverpool housing maintenance business M&Y announces second £750,000 contract in the space of a week. Tony McDonough reports

M&Y Maintenance & Construction has won a £750,000 maintenance services contract with Crosby Housing which provides affordable housing for the local community.
This is the second £750,000 deal M&Y, which is a division of the Liverpool-based Regenda Group, has announced in the space of a week. Last week LBN revealed it had won a maintenance services contract with Steve Biko Housing Association in Liverpool.
This latest agreement with Crosby Housing will cover more than 440 homes comprising family houses, shared and independent supported accommodation and general needs flats.
Lasting three years, this contract will see M&Y deliver services in responsive maintenance, emergency work and void property works.
Michael Holmes, M&Y head of external works, said: “We’re excited to work with Crosby Housing and deliver our maintenance services to their customers in Sefton and Liverpool.
“Together we share values to place communities at the heart of everything we do. People rely on safe, secure and quality homes to live in, and we have a strong track record of leaving a positive social impact in the communities we work in.”
Family-founded M&Y has recently reported a big rise in annual revenues. Turnover for the 12 months to March 31, 2024, rose 26% to £43.3m. Pre-tax profits were slightly down at £217,000.
During the accounting period the firm employed 246 people and delivered £2.1m in repairs and £5m in new home construction to customers outside of the Regenda Group. Overall in the year the business delivered new homes to the value of £17.5m.
