Former North West regional director of the Labour Party, Liam Didsbury, joins property PR specialist to offer strategic advice to the regions property sector. Tony McDonough reports.

The partnership will offer a blend of political and public relations advice at all stages of the development process, from planning and engagement with local authorities, to stakeholder mapping and management.
Liam Didsbury is a seasoned political strategist. A campaigns expert with more than 15 years’ experience in politics. He played a pivotal role as regional director of the Labour Party, in charge of the north west of England.
Merrion Strategy, owned and operated by property PR specialist Dougal Paver offers strategic communications advise to a range of clients in the property and regeneration sectors.
Dougal has more than 30 years’ experience as a marketing and PR consultant in the built environment, advising leading developers and regeneration agencies.
It is a move which Dougal says will add political insight and weight to Merrion’s existing work.
He said: “I’ve been managing complex stakeholder engagement tasks for many years but in a changing political landscape it’s important to have someone with Liam’s expertise and networks at clients’ disposal.
