Property lawyer Bethan Watt has left a London law firm to take up a new post that will see her work from her home city of Liverpool.

Bethan has left Ronald Fletcher Baker after almost four years to join the property team at Bexley Beaumont as a senior associate. Bexley Beaumont has offices in London and Manchester but she will be working from Liverpool.

Her arrival brings the number of lawyers within the firm specialising in property and construction to 29 โ€“ up by one-quarter in the course of the last 12 months.

Bexley Beaumontโ€™s co-founder and chief executive, Karen Bexley, said the hiring of Bethan illustrated just how โ€œformidableโ€ the firm had become in only five years since launching.

โ€œBethan shows more than just the calibre and breadth of experience within our real estate team. She demonstrates that lawyers across the full range of commercial disciplines and across the country realise that we have the sort of model which can allow them to develop their practices.

โ€œIn addition to having greater autonomy in how they work, they understand that our central support team provides a spine of excellence.โ€

This decision to join Bexley Beaumont marks a return to the North West for Ms Watt, who gained a first-class law degree from Liverpool John Moores University.

Her career to date has included a particular focus on short-term finance and bridging loan transactions for both residential and commercial developments.
