Leading fashion brand is coming to Liverpool

A globally renowned fashion house chooses Liverpool to open only its second store outside London. Tony McDonough reports

Globally renowned womenswear brand House of CB is to open a new store at Liverpool ONE – only its second outside London.

House of CB’s announcement follows the news earlier this week that another womenswear and accessories brand, US-based Anthropologie, is to open a 7,000 sq ft outlet at Liverpool ONE.

Like Anthropologie, House of CB’s 6,500 sq ft store will also be on Peter’s Lane which is already home to a number of lifestyle brands selling fashion, jewellery and accessories. They include Space NK, Jo Malone, Reiss and ARNE.

House of CB was established in 2010 in London by Conna Walker when she was just 17 with a £3,880 loan from her father. It now operates from 40 outlets and has a large international following online.

Specialising in “feminine cuts and iconic hourglass silhouettes”, the brand has an “occasion-wear” offer with clothes ideal for race days, university events and weddings.

“Bringing with it an online follower base of millions, House of CB’s new store will provide just that, introducing its internationally acclaimed fashion to the city as it expands its presence in physical retail.
