Former Bruntwood stalwart Colin Forshaw has joined Liverpool commercial property agency Worthington Owen.

His recruitment comes as Worthington Owen, founded by Mark Worthington and Andrew Owen, celebrates 10 years in business. It brings together three of the best-known names in Liverpool city region’s commercial property world.

Colin joined Bruntwood in 2000 and, as a regional director of the family-owned Manchester business, was instrumental in expanding and repositioning its Liverpool portfolio including The Plaza and The Cotton Exchange.

He was also heavily involved with Sciontec, the joint venture between Bruntwood SciTech, Liverpool City Council, Liverpool John Moores University and The University of Liverpool.

In October 2024 Colin left Bruntwood to set up his own consultancy. But now he has decided to join Worthington Owen full time. He said: “I am delighted to be joining up with Worthington Owen especially as they mark their 10th anniversary.

“Having been a client of theirs for the last 10 years, I have admired how the business has become established and contributed considerably to the commercial property market in Liverpool city region.

“I am excited to be part of the next phase, complementing and broadening the services we provide to our clients.’’

Mark and Andrew were already well known figures in the local property sector when they set up Worthington Owen 10 years ago this month.

Their office is in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district and their most notable deals include the 270,000 sq ft letting of India Buildings to HMRC and the acquisition of the 65,000 sq ft former Post & Echo Building on behalf of Sony Interactive.

Andrew said: “It has been a whirlwind first 10 years for the business and we are extremely grateful for the support we have received from clients during this period.

“Colin will be a great addition to the business and will only bolster the offering that we can provide.”

Mark added: “Colin is a very well-known and highly regarded property professional who I have enjoyed working with for 25 years.

“His varied client-side experience means he can offer a different perspective and wider knowledge that I think will be of real benefit to our clients.”
