Aztec Interiors has unveiled the appointment of six new young starters at its commercial fit-out business.

Based in Liverpool city centre, Aztec was founded in 1988 and is one of leading fit-out specialists in the North West. It has taken on six apprentices, all aged 19 or under, and a 22-year-old junior architect, Molly Dean.

They also include apprentices Michael Rowlands, 18, a bench joiner, Maxwell Weaver, 19, at the Fire Doors and Frames division, Daisy Roberts, 18, a joiner, and Ellie Moran, 19, an electrician. Owen Jones, 18, also joins as an electrician’s mate, all at Interiors.

Iain Peacock, group managing director at Aztec, said: “It’s great to be able to take on these six new young team members in their respective roles.

“It’s exciting to look ahead and see what our diversifying workforce of the future will look like and to have them all join us at the start of their career is a really exciting prospect.

“We were able to explain exactly what we were looking for in terms of skills and attitude and they listened. We are keen to build on our relationship with them, so much so with them and have been invited to input into the curriculum to build on the needs of industry.”

“By understanding industry expectations and Aztec’s customer base, I tailored specific students for designated roles, fostering an excellent relationship with a high-class employer.

“Aztec’s professionalism, collaboration, and integrity have been exemplary. We are excited to work alongside the business to influence our curriculum, ensuring it reflects the skills required for modern industry.”
