Mother and daughter entrepreneurs Angela and Harriet Maguire launch their ‘dream venture’ – an event planning business – in Liverpool. Tony McDonough reports

A new event planning, co-ordinating and “styling” company has been launched in Liverpool by an entrepreneurial mother and daughter duo.

Angela and Harriet Maguire say The Event Agency is their “dream venture” after spending several years honing their party planning skills. The business was launched in front of 150 guests at an event held at The Clubhouse in Wolstenholme Square, Liverpool city centre.

Both from Woolton, Angela and Harriet have themed and decorated events for a number of years for friends and family. They say they are now receiving multiple requests from all over the North West.

The duo have made a “considerable” financial investment sourcing worldwide a range of original stock and props for event styling, including a host of table centrepieces, lighting, backdrops and signage, personalised props, floral and decorative accessories.

The Event Agency will cater for events and celebrations of all themes, sizes and budgets including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers, gender reveals, fundraising events and launches.

It will also offer private dining tablescapes and personal setups for wedding proposals and special occasions. Harriet said: “The Event Agency is more than a business, it is a passion for my mother and I.

“We are committed to staying ahead of the trend curve where we need to, while still being able to produce those classical popularist themes that some of our guests request.

“Creating the ‘wow’ factor for our clients is what we aim for no matter how big or small the job is. From private dinners to large scale events we aim to ensure that our event styling and theming exceeds the brief.”

And The Event Agency can also produce high end balloon art installations, personalised neon signage and various props. It will work closely with other agencies to provide event showstoppers such as stilt-walkers, human statues, acrobats and fire-eaters.
