A business that uses a bus to offer a mobile beauty and entertainment experience to children aged three to 10 secures £50,000 via River Capital in Liverpool to buy a second bus. Tony McDonough reports

Kidz Pamper Bus will be able to offer its mobile beauty and entertainment experience to even more children after securing a £50,000 cash injection.
Founded by Rebecca McGregor, Kidz Pamper Bus uses a custom-fitted bus that offers “fun and memorable experiences” for children aged three to 10 across the North West. They include mini-makeovers, hair styling, dress-up areas, and themed parties.
Now this latest investment will enable the business to expand its service by acquiring a second bus. This cash has come from NPIF II – River Capital & GC Business Finance Smaller Loans, which is managed by Liverpool-based River Capital & GC Business Finance as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II.
The loan will also support the development of an online booking system, and provide working capital to facilitate further growth. The expansion is expected to create at least five new jobs over the duration of the investment.

Rebecca McGregor said: “This investment from River Capital comes at a perfect time for our business. The funding will allow us to double our capacity with a second Pamper Bus and improve our booking systems, helping us to build on our success to date.
“We’re excited about creating new jobs and bringing our unique pamper party experience to even more children across the North West.”

The £660m Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II covers the entire North of England and provides loans from £25,000 to £2m and equity investment up to £5m to help a range of small and medium sized businesses to start up, scale up or stay ahead.
Jonathan Nelson, investment manager at River Capital, added: “She (Rebecca) has demonstrated impressive ability in achieving success in the ever evolving children’s party market.
“The business has shown strong demand for its services, with 340 parties delivered in the last 12 months and weekend bookings already secured into 2026. This investment will help the company meet growing customer demand.”
